Sana Khan

Project Overview

This project focused on designing a winter overcoat for Sana Khan, a professional based in the U.K., where function and style must coexist seamlessly. The objective was to create a garment that delivered warmth during cold seasons while maintaining timeless sophistication and elegance.

Maison Élevée selected a premium heavyweight wool in a warm khaki tone—ideal for regular use in colder climates. Every design element was curated to enhance the coat’s durability and aesthetic, from the structured silhouette to the discreet custom embroidery. The end result was a luxurious overcoat that Sana now wears regularly and regards as the "best article of clothing she’s ever owned."

Customization & Details

To design a coat worthy of both elegance and function, we worked closely with Sana to craft a custom wool overcoat that would withstand the chill of the U.K. winter while offering refined style. We selected a premium heavyweight wool in a rich khaki tone for warmth, durability, and timeless appeal.

Inside, the garment was elevated with a bespoke lining and S.K. embroidery—a subtle yet meaningful personal detail. The silhouette was tailored to offer a flattering, structured fit, with thoughtful design features like a high collar, discrete inner pockets, and a soft interior finish to ensure comfort and daily wearability.

Sana expressed that this is “the best article of clothing I’ve ever owned,” wearing it regularly with pride and confidence.

Fittings & Adjustments

Crafted to perfection from the start, only light refinements were needed to align the coat’s structure with Sana’s exact proportions. Sleeve length, shoulder slope, and tapering were precisely adjusted to ensure a polished, feminine silhouette with enough room for layering.

Highlights:

  • Custom measurements and premium wool fabric
  • Personalized lining with S.K. embroidery
  • Designed for warmth, elegance, and versatility
  • Tailored fit with high-function winter comfort
Final Presentation

The final garment was a perfect marriage of style and function—built for both elegance and everyday life.
